The passion that the main character exudes for life, love and cooking is so refreshing and captivating. There is a depth of emotion that will entrance any reader and leave them breathless. The characters are unique in their perspectives and it makes them all the more interesting to the reader. The sexual exploits and added kinkiness is just a bonus in conjunction to the romance of the story.
Chance wants to be a chef on the Food Network. It is his dream. Chance lives and works for an old man who lets him stay as long as he is willing to spend his time off work, naked. He spends his days working in the small grocery store and whipping up special recipes in the morning. When an attractive man enters the store, his focus is suddenly shifted to the intriguing stranger that has caught his eye. Brody is a navy man and a bad boy. When he sees Chance, he knows that he wants to spend his nights doing wickedly kinky things to him. Chance is more than willing to engage in a fling with Brody but he can’t let the man who owns the store find out and he refuses to give up his dreams of being a professional chef. Sometimes love is worth any loss.
An Officer and His Gentleman is a wonderful love story. The characters are engaging and the story is definitely not the typical fare. This was the kind of story that deserves to be read more than once. An Officer and His Gentleman is definitely a four star work that will leave the reader wanting more from this very gifted author.
